Personal Mission Statement

What is my personal mission statement

Webster's definition of Ambition is - (am-bish-en) (n). An eager or strong desire to achieve something. The objective or goal desired. 

Ambition isn't arrogance. Ambition is strong confidence and a desire to achieve a goal. I have a phrase I coined as a mission of my life: "Ambition Over Diversity." Do not get it confused with Tupac Shakur's poem "Ambition Over Adversity." (https://allpoetry.com/Ambition-Over-Adversity). This phase is the glue to my knowledge, skills, and opportunities in my past, present, and future.  

Ambition Over Diversity does not know defeat. Life is full of challenges and obstacles in life. Stuff is always coming at me - good and bad stuff. My Ambition to succeed must be greater than anything I face. Ambition is reaching for that desired goal with every ounce of my mind, heart, and soul. 

Ambition Over Diversity requires all of me. 

• I cannot procrastinate. 

• I can't make excuses. 

• I can't pretend like I want success. 

• ​

I must embrace my adversities and let my Ambition be greater. I can't just talk about success. It is when opportunity meets preparation. I have to stare down every adversity and not flinch. 

Ambition Over Diversity requires me to be strong mentally, emotionally, and physically. It requires self-discipline, hard work, a positive attitude, and a willingness to listen and learn, ask questions, meet new people and subtract negative people in my life. I am not mediocre, so why settle for mediocrity? 

Ambition Over Adversity requires resilience, commitment, integrity, and determination. Every day I live my life according to my priorities. It is waking up and winning the morning even when I have stayed up late working on a project. When setbacks come, keep pushing when life knocks me back down, I get back up. Why? Because my goals are to work on it. 

What I am becoming is the result of Ambition Over Diversity. Ambition lies within me.
